SUMMARY:Helion DSL Tutorial @ PLDI 2026
DESCRIPTION:Date: June 15\, 2026\nLocation: Denver\, Colorado \nPyTorch Foundation project Helion will host a tutorial at PLDI 2026 (47th ACM SIGPLAN Conference on Programming Language Design and Implementation). \nLed by Jongsok Choi\, Jason Ansel\, Oguz Ulgen\, and Ethan Che (Meta)\, the tutorial will introduce Helion\, a Python-based kernel DSL that compiles to optimized Triton code and supports multiple hardware backends. \nThe three-hour session will cover Helion’s programming model and compiler architecture\, its integration with TorchInductor\, autotuning techniques including Bayesian optimization and LLM-guided autotuning\, and ongoing work on the CuteDSL backend for NVIDIA GPUs. Attendees will also participate in hands-on experiments writing and autotuning Helion kernels. \nMore details: https://pldi26.sigplan.org/details/pldi-2026-tutorials/1/Writing-Performance-Portable-Kernels-Simplified-with-Helion
